These are my latest obsession & have been great sellers for me!  You can buy the finished product  Here  or keep reading to learn how to make your own.  I have used the  Bernat Maker Home &  2mm Macrame cord  to make these & both work great & show great stitch definition.  These  are the wooden rings I use.  I will give you a quick breakdown of how I make them. I am by no means a professional pattern writer & am just trying to give you simple directions.  Row 1: 6 single crochet round ring & then chain 1 & turn Row 2 - how ever many rows you want: hdc across, ch1, turn.  Once I have it the length I want I attch the 2nd ring single crochet 6 across & then finish off.  This  is a great tutorial on how to join your rings.   One of my kids sent me a pic of a mushroom bag they found online one day and said "can you make me one". Well frankly the one in the pic was very poorly made and tiny so I said of course I can. Truth be told I was just excited that one of my kids actually wanted something I made.😂 Stuff that mom makes is not as cool as when someone else makes it. 😕 I immediately hit Pinterest and went to looking for Crochet bag patterns. In the mean time she brought me one of her favorite bags and said she wanted it to be the same size as that one.  I found the  Brecken Bag  pattern and thought "THAT'S IT"! It is an awesome free pattern that is easy to follow and works up fast and can be found here . I have fallen in to gnome addiction that everyone seems to have these days so I had to try to make some ornaments for my tree and my friends and family. Just so happens I had found some great new chunky Christmas yarn and was itching to find something to use it for.  I got the Big Twist yarn here . The solid color is 2 strands of regular ole Red Heart. I find the best prices on it here . These make up really fast and makes everyone say "awwwwww" and who doesn't need a super quick project these days or some quick gifts. The only supplies needed are  # 5 or 6 yarn or 2 strands of a #4 "M" hook hot glue gun wooden beads or balls for nose faux fur pom pom all rounds are work in circle with no joins. 2 strands of Yarn Bee Black This has by far been one of my best selling items that I make. It is such a quick and simple pattern. If you haven't tried one yet then I highly recommend you do. I personally went with a different hook size than the original pattern called for and did not put the fringe on, which is not uncommon for me. I generally use a pattern as a starting point and adjust it to my liking. I have experimented with yarns from size 3 up to 6. I liked them all bur 4 and 5 weight was my favorite. I have made at least 2 dozen of these over the last year and a half. It takes me about 4 hours a piece to complete one. Have you made any what are your thoughts and favorite colors? I find that the older I get the more I LOVE Coffee! Which is so funny because I can remember a time when I thought I would never drink coffee and could not understand why anyone liked it! HA HA!!  An as Summer turns to Fall (which is my favorite season) and the weather cools down I find myself craving it even more than just my  normal morning cup. I have recently become hooked on making Crochet shopping bag holders. I think most us us have a drawer or a cabinet full of those plastic shopping bags. I would get so aggravated when I open my cabinet and bags start to fall out. So I got to thinking I have ton or yarn why not make something to contain all of these bags. Then I set out to  Pinterest on a mission to find a pattern to make my own. my favorite that I have found so far is by  crochet it creations . I followed the pattern until the end where decided to make it all one piece instead of making the top separate an sewing it on. I did the last row in Triple Crochet an made a chain of around 60 and threaded it through the top like a draw string an then joined it to the beginning to make a loop to hang it with. Well Hello & Happy Holidays! I have been busy making Christmas gifts and filling orders.  The  Easy Granny Square Cardigan  has been a popular request this year. Of course there is always lots of  Messy Bun Hats  and  Infinity Scarves  also being made this time of the year. What has been popular for you? I was at a craft show recently and had someone ask me about towel holders to use on cabinet knobs instead of handles like on your oven. I got to thinking and looking on  Pinterest and decided to just try to come up with my own. I totally despise having to constantly pick my kitchen towels up off the floor and this solves that problem and if the kids want to play with it than that is fine to because anything that entertains them for a little while is a good thing! This is absolutely with out a doubt my new favorite pattern !! It was so Easy to make and works up super quick! I am sure I am going to need one of these in many different colors and a lot of my friends and family will be getting one for Christmas! This is the  Essentially Fall Cardigan  by  Taylor Lynn I used the Mandala yarn in  Centaur. This is a size small. I used just a little over 1 roll and had enough left from the second roll to make 2 infinity scarves.  I am using Hobby Lobby's "I Love this Yarn" in Painted Canyon to make one now and can't wait to see how it turns out.. Hello! I had a couple of people tag me on FB recently asking if I could make this  unicorn blanket  by Lily and Mason boutique . I immediately had to get the  pattern  and see if I could indeed make it. Turns out it was much easier than I would have anticipated and worked up fast. You gotta love a blanket pattern that works up quick! I did tweak the pattern just a bit... Instead of using the yarn called for in the pattern I used 3 strands of Red Heart Super Saver with a "P" hook. I also chose to not "brush out" the mane and not add the fringe around the edges. I am currently working on a cream colored one with a "Q" hook that I think I actually like better. It has a more loose softer feel to it. I will be sure to post pics of it when I am done. Overall this is a great easy pattern that works up quick and I will be definitely be making more.  I love the way that you can fold the blanket into the hood to make it a cute pillow. Be sure to ...

I don't know what I am more obsessed with C2C or variegated yarn. I love both so much! I actually love all yarn but the variegated and cake styles have most of my attention these days. I looked at the Mandala yarn for a long time without buying it. I would eww and ahh over all of the pretty color combos but always leave the store empty handed. My husband was always saying "Really, you are going to look at it for that long and not buy it?" LOL! Yep! I finally broke down and bought some one day while my daughter and I were shopping. I got 2 rolls of the  Serpent & 2 of the Unicorn.  They sat in my yarn stash for months with me contemplating what to do with them. I normally use Worsted weight #4 yarn for everything and was a little intimidated by the thinness of this yarn. I have made so many things with #4 yarn that I know exactly what it works up like and will look like. I knew this yarn was not going to work up like that and I just didn't have the time to rework...

I was so excited to find the Bernat Pop yarn in my local Walmart. I live in a super small town and we never get any of the good stuff. When I saw it I had to refrain from buying some in every color combo. The first thing I thought to make was one of the Mandala style vest that I have seen recently.  I used this pattern  by The Lavender Chair . It was a simple pattern and worked up quickly. It took almost 2 cakes of the Bernat Pop yarn. So for less than $10 I got this awesome new vest that I have gotten so many compliments on... I know my picture taking skills leave a lot to be desired but you get the general idea of how it looks and how it turned out.  I can't wait to try it in different colors.  I went to a neighboring town this past weekend and found some of the Mandala Yarn. I have been seeing post and articles everywhere about Caron Cakes yarn and I have been itching to get my hands on some. Well I received some money for my birthday so I decided to use it for myself, for once, and get something I wanted. Not something I necessarily needed but something I wanted.  I ordered them online from Michael's , since none of the stores near me carries it. They happened to have a sale going on that day and I ended up getting a really great deal plus free shipping! BIRTHDAY SCORE!! Well the Cakes set in my bedroom for about a month just looking at me, taunting me... I had no idea what to make out of them. Then I get a message from a friend saying she needed a baby shower gift. AH HA!! a light bulb went off! I could make a C2C blanket and matching hat for her. I LOVE C2C and I figured the color changes of the yarn would make beautiful stripes. Plus she needed it fairly quickly and C2C works up very quickly, which is perfect for my short attention span....

I know I usually write about crochet and crafty things but I have recently been trying to learn more about the low carb way of eating. I have been experimenting with new low carb recipes and today when I got home I just wasn't sure what I wanted for fix for dinner. After scanning the cabinets and the fridge I found Hamburger and mushrooms that needed to be cooked, a can of enchilada sauce, and a bag of low carb tortillas. With those findings this recipe was born... First I scrambled about 1 pound of hamburger together with 1 small onion and about 10 baby bella mushrooms sliced. Once this had started to brown I added about 1/3 of the can of Enchilada sauce and some Adobo seasoning, salt, and pepper and let it all simmer together until done.  Doesn't that look yummy!! Then I took my low carb tortillas and put a little cheese in them and some of the beef mixture and rolled them up and placed them in a casserole dish. Poured the rest of the can of Enchila...

As usual, being a crochet addict, I have to try the latest craze going around. Right now that happens to be the Messy Bun/Pony tail hat. I see all of the many new patterns popping up by the day or by the hour it seems like. I am always weary starting a new pattern because I never know how the authors tension was or how the product will come out. Usually I am up against a time restraint and in a hurry so I tend to fall back to my most reliable hat patterns that I know are true to size and work every time. It seems that someone is always wanting me to make them something and always expecting it in an unreasonable amount of time and me being me I can't say no. That makes it hard to have time to test new patterns and step out of my comfort zone. I have, over the holidays and during our recent snow storm, took the time to test some of the Messy bun patterns and have pictures of each one to hopefully take some of the guess work out of it for you, save you some precious time,  and help...

 What Happened when I put a pan of Sliced Squash in my Car in July? I am all about saving some money and as my husband will tell you I will try about anything to try and save a $.
